Simple living as a stay at home mom isn’t easily obtainable. Your day usually starts at the crack of dawn, so A you can spend some productive time without your children or B you have to get up with your kids to get them ready for their day.

It doesn’t stop there! You have to make meals, clean, run errands, shop, teach and so many other things. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could slow down and simplify your life?

Here are 4 ways I’ve simplified my life as a stay at home mom and you can too!

1. Use a meal service

Meal services are great when you want to feed your family healthy food but still have a quick meal. Blue Apron and Hello Fresh send you 3 meals a week with all the ingredients you will need for a meal.

The meals take about 30 minutes to make. This makes it so you don’t have to go shopping and you don’t have the “what should I make for dinner, blahs.”

2. Declutter everything

I as a stay at home mom spend most my time cleaning. There’s always toys everywhere, or laundry and dishes piled up. I realized we had way to much stuff! Once I decluttered my home I was having to clean a lot less. This gave me more time to focus on things I enjoy doing.

You’re children don’t need a bunch of toys to be happy. You don’t need a closet full of clothes that you only wear 1/3 of. Simplifying your home helps to simplify your life.

3. Simplify your schedule

We moms seem to think we need to always be busy. Why? it’s okay to have some down time where we’re not being productive. Your children can have independent play.

Try to simplify your schedule as best as you can. Make sure to add in some free time for yourself. Enjoy a book and a glass of wine. Take a nice bubble bath alone! ( my children always try to join me).

4. Use the supermarket pickup service

This has made my life sooooo much easier. I just couldn’t wrestle a newborn and toddler in the store. I discovered shortly after having my newborn I could order my groceries online and then go pick them up. The store just loads everything in my car and I’m on my merry way.

I save a ton of time and my stress level is cut in half! Almost every big store chain does it now, so check out if that’s something you store will do.

Since I’ve implemented these four things into my life, everything has been much simpler. I don’t feel so worn out at the end of the day and I can enjoy my daily life again. What things do you do to simplify your life? Let me know in the comments!
